2025 Spring Season Mountain Region League

Colorado Mountain United Soccer Club offers programming for a variety of different skill levels, as we are committed to sharing our love for the sport, with everyone who would like to play!!

The Mountain Region League (MRL) offers a more "western slope" based level of play for U12-U19. There are two divisions within the MRL, allowing for appropriate placement of players who are just beginning as well as the players that are ready to be challenged at a higher skill level. The MRL travel can include, but is not limited to, travel to the following areas: Steamboat, Vail, Roaring Fork, Crested Butte, Gunnison, Montrose, Grand Junction, Telluride and Moab.

U10 players will be placed in our in-house league, with the majority of their games taking place in our valley, with less travel than the Mountain Region League. The U10 teams don't typically travel farther than El Jebel, but there is always a chance that farther travel could take place.

Practices for all age groups will be twice a week, typically Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday, however practice days and times will be dependent upon coaching availability. Games are scheduled Saturdays and Sundays, but an occasional weeknight game may occur. The 2025 Spring Season will start in April and conclude in May, weather permitting.

Please double check your child's birth year and register in the correct age bracket:

U10- 2015 and 2016

U12- 2013 and 2014

U15- 2012 to 2010

U19- 2009 to 2006

Once players are registered, club staff takes a deep look into several factors, prior to determining team placement, including but not limited to:

Experience & Knowledge of the Game- Number of years played and in what age brackets
Reason For Playing- During the registration process, the player will indicate on the registration form what their top priority is for the season; to be with a certain coach, to play with a certain player, to play at the most competitive level, or to practice in a certain Town etc....
Special Requests- Certain days, times, locations, coaches and players are taken into consideration but are not guaranteed
Skill Level- The club hosts skills assessments once a year, in order to create baseline data.
